The Triffid

Urban, gritty and uber cool, The Triffid in Newstead is all about reclaiming the old to enliven the new.  An old World War II aircraft hangar has been repurposed and is now part of the Brisbane music landscape as a vibrant entertainment hub. Its famous owner, Powderfinger’s John Collins, is reclaiming his city, generously giving back by bringing world class acts to this amazing venue.  In this D&C project, WFM collaborated with Hutchinson Builders and Ardvaarc Architects, to produce state-of-the-art sound and lighting installations. All elements of the arts from rock performances to film festivals and art exhibitions are now firmly part of The Triffid’s presence on the music scene.
