South Brisbane Supportive Housing

WFM Electrical Services was engaged as the electrical subcontractor for the South Brisbane Supportive Housing development. Working under head contractor Bryant Building Contractors for principal QBuild (Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning & Public Works), WFM delivered the complete electrical package for this new multi-storey residential development providing supported accommodation in Brisbane’s inner south.

The project comprises 20 individual apartments along with common area facilities, with WFM supplying and installing a full electrical fitout including the site main switchboard, 20 dedicated apartment distribution boards, all lighting, power, and essential safety systems. The scope also included a comprehensive security and communications package covering access control, CCTV, MATV, and structured cabling throughout the building.

As a QBuild-delivered project, the development was designed to provide long-term supportive housing for vulnerable Queenslanders, and required close coordination with government stakeholders and other building trades. WFM completed the works across an 18-month programme
