WFM Electrical Services was engaged as the electrical sub-contractor across two related scopes at 7 Wren Street, Bowen Hills — a major base build electrical infrastructure upgrade to an existing occupied multi-storey medical facility, followed by the full electrical fitout of a new medical imaging tenancy in the basement.

We worked directly with the developer to deliver both the electrical upgrade and fitout works for Herston Private Hospital.The base build scope involved a significant upgrade of the site’s electrical supply infrastructure to 1,000 amps, including coordination with Energex for new consumer mains, a new site main switchboard, and relocation of existing services throughout the basement. A critical aspect was maintaining power continuity to an operational private hospital & fertility clinic during the upgrades, requiring multiple temporary generators and out-of-hours changeover works.

The basement medical imaging fitout involved the full electrical installation for a new Herston Private Imaging tenancy, including specialist power supply and control systems for a Siemens SOMATOM go.Top CT scanner compliant with AS/NZS 3003:2018. Both scopes were delivered concurrently within a live, occupied building environment, requiring careful sequencing and close coordination with building management, Energex, and specialist medical equipment suppliers.
